I'm trying to post new stuff on here more regularly, but it always slips through my net and I'm off to the next project (though the actual documentation on the rest of the blog pages IS kept more-or-less up-to-date.
To whit, here's my article on the anarchist avant-garde in the Paris Commune, from the most recent Fifth Estate. For those precious few of you deep enough in avant-history that "Parnassianism" rings a bell, there's a sub-theme in here that contests the stereotype foisted on that movement as being "ivory-tower" and apolitical, as much as I could squeeze into a cramped word-count for a more general audience:
